The Golf Group held their Spring Competition at Birch Grove Golf Club on Monday 31st March. The course was in excellent condition and the event was played in glorious sunshine.

The format was 3 clubs and a putter, where as the name suggests, players are restricted to three clubs of their choice plus a putter rather than the normal maximum of 14 clubs. 22 members took part, and the clear winner was John Watson with a net score of 26, followed by Christine Curtis (29) then Caroline Spencer and Ronnie Sullivan both on 32. Winner of nearest the pin competition was Tony Coppin.

After the competition players enjoyed a breakfast bap on return to the clubhouse.

Thanks were extended to Graham Barney who organised the competition and presented John with his prize and also to Birch Grove Golf Club for hosting the event.
