ABOUT OUR TALKS, TRIPS AND SOCIAL XTRA EVENTS
MONTHLY MEETINGS
Free for members and potential members on the 2nd Friday afternoon of each month (excluding August) at Stanway Village Hall. Enjoy a guest speaker or entertainer, followed by tea/coffee and a biscuit.
Plenty of opportunity to chat and catch up, browse our Notice board for updates on group vacancies and outings, or visit our used book & jigsaw stall.

"SOCIAL XTRA" EVENTS
Free for members on the 4th Friday afternoon of each month (except August and December) at Stanway Village Hall.
Enjoy talks, entertainment, craft and games themed afternoons, quizzes etc, plus of course tea/coffee and a biscuit!
We'd love to hear from members if you have any ideas for these events or are interested in helping organise future events.
Please get in touch with a member of the Social Squad either during our meetings or by sending a message via Social Squad .

TRIPS & TOURS
Details of local trips around Colchester and day trips by coach further afield are added to the events listing on this page .
They will feature in our members newsletter "Stanway News" as trips are finalised. Booking forms are attached to our newsletter when announced, and made available at our Monthly Meetings.

On 17th October a group enjoyed a "Behind the Scenes" tour of the Mercury Theatre.

On Friday 15th August, a sunny, hot day, 32 of us joined the U3A Stanway/Colchester visit to the summer Tudor re-enactment event at Kentwell Hall in Long Melford, Suffolk.

Due to a reciprocal agreement Stanway u3a members can also attend Colchester u3a talks and outings, visit their Colchester Events page..
In addition, the EAST OF ENGLAND REGION u3a publishes monthly bulletins that detail free National u3a online talks and events on most days covering a wide range of subjects that may be of interest to our members.
